What makes a happy place?
Our driving question was “What makes a happy place?” and students engaged in redesigning a local park to meet its users’ needs and wants. Involvement in this project has changed our practice and we realised that identifying a product before engaging with the students narrowed opportunities for students to have ownership of the learning. Students had greater control of the products they created. The process strengthened staff knowledge, understanding in skills in delivering the STEM curriculum.
