Survive the Shake

Earthquakes are the cause of many deaths in poor communities around the world. Mud and bamboo buildings are common in these areas. Strong, yet simple dwellings need to be designed to maximise stability in order to minimise the loss of life.
Students design, produce and evaluate a multi-storey structure that is able to withstand an earthquake simulation.
